With tens of thousands of animal combinations possible, players? strategic sensibilities, analytical abilities and creativity will be tested, and the gameplay is sure to appeal to any RTS fan.

Impossible Creatures will be a 'Streamlined RTS,' focused on short, faster-paced games with a quick turnaround, allowing players to play several games in the time it would normally take to play a single game in another RTS. This also provides more opportunities for players to perfect their armies and tactics.

Impossible Creatures has a significant story in which the player takes on the role of hero/adventurer Rex Chance as he attempts to thwart the plans of a 1930s super-villain bent on taking over the world.

Traveling across a string of islands in the South Pacific, the player will command dozens of creatures and henchmen fighting several mad scientist villains through 15 missions on 12 distinct islands.

Multiple players will be able to engage in unprecedented, streamlined and intense gameplay. Fast and furious multiplayer games will focus on action.

2-4 players can engage in intense battles over the Internet. With the ability to constantly, change and create new armies, you can be assured that playing over the Internet will always be a fresh and exciting experience.

What is especially unique is the ability to transfer animal information between the single player campaign and the multiplayer game, so progress in one mode can enhance the experience in another.

In addition to gameplay enhancements, Impossible Creatures is also positioned to be the de-facto MOD platform for terrain-based 3D RTS games.

The game's open data architecture and development tools allow extensive modifications to be made by end-users. These tools, and support of the MOD community will be delivered through Relic's revolutionary RDN program.
